The Maryland Mortgage Program is pleased to announce the launch of MMP-UPLIFT (Utilizing Progressive Lending Investments to Finance Transformation).

This new MMP product will enable qualified borrowers to purchase a home from an established group of eligible UPLIFT properties utilizing financing provided by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development’s UPLIFT program through the Maryland Mortgage Program (MMP) and administered by the Community Development Administration (CDA). 

The UPLIFT program is designed to accelerate the pace of development, construction and sale of affordable housing in low income census tracts and designated Sustainable Communities. 

The MMP-UPLIFT is an MMP 1st Time Advantage 5% DPA product: 

  • The first mortgage is a 30-year amortizing mortgage loan at the rate published at the time of loan reservation and 

  • The second lien is a 0% interest, 30-year deferred DPA loan equal to 5% of the MMP total loan amount.

Note: Only properties listed on mmp.maryland.gov/MMP-UPLIFT are eligible for this program.
