Maryland Mortgage Program (MMP) loans are promoted statewide through advertising, events, and partner outreach. These efforts bring homebuyers to our website, and we direct them to our approved lending partners and certified realtors.
Become an Approved Lender
Join our network to offer MMP loans to your borrowers. Top producing loan officers are eligible to receive referrals from homebuyers visiting our website.
Lender Referrals
Homebuyers can:
- Search our website and contact any MMP-approved lender directly
- Submit a referral form to be matched with a loan officer in the county where they plan to buy a home
How referrals are assigned
The top producing loan officers of MMP-approved lenders are eligible to receive referrals.
- Referrals are assigned by county
- In most counties, one loan officer is selected for a three-month period
- In counties with higher homebuyer demand, more than one loan officer may receive referrals
- Loan officers with the highest MMP reservation production for the previous quarter are selected
- Production totals reset each quarter
We contact the selected loan officers with instructions on how to receive and respond to referrals.
Reporting requirement
To continue receiving referrals, loan officers must:
- Track the outcome of each homebuyer contact
- Submit simple follow-up reports to the MMP
